Anthony Lakes

Getting to Anthony Lake at 7100' on Friday afternoon, the September weather has always been great,
but we have awaken to a mountain snow cover on Saturday morning.

*Directions: From Pendelton take I-84 east to the North Powder Exit - # 285 - take a right at bottom of exit ramp and follow all ski resort signs/ main road to the top of the Elkhorn Range - Anthony Lakes Ski Resort on USFS Road 73. Turn left into Anthony Lake campground/ day use area. Blue Mountain Flycasters' fishing lodge is on the right at the T intersection as you approach the lake.

This year we will try to ditto the activities of past years - check in beginning at 2-4 pm on Friday 9/26 with wine/cheese tasting & evening fly tying- Saturday with meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and all day fishing - Sunday 9/28 breakfast, cabin cleanup & checkout by 12 noon. Those that are coming up just for Saturday fishing please RSVP email - Kittee & Dale here or call 541-938-3303 with your headcount for lunch and/or dinner. Thank you.

September 26th
Friday afternoon check-in and set up your bunk
Friday afternoon fishing for Trophy triploid rainbows

 
Friday cheers

 
Friday p.m. fishing strategy

Friday evening cheese and wine tasting (a red & white vino w/ cheese & crackers will be offered) -RSVP
Friday dinner will be a large stock pot of soup for all
After dinner usually B/S and fly tying


September 27th

Yep, some trips on Saturday morning our cabin and surrounding area was covered with a fresh snowfall. What a beautiful treat.
We do not expect to have the snowfall, but keep in mind, it snows here every month of the year, including July 4th.


Saturday morning breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, coffee) milk and pop provided
Saturday morning fishing or hiking around the lakes. Fishing from daybreak to 1 pm.
Saturday lunch (a large stock pot of soup for all with cold cut sandwiches for RSVP'er) milk and pop provided
Saturday afternoon fishing and/or hiking around the lakes. Fishing from 2:30 til last fisher out of the lake.
Saturday evening dinner will be smoked trout and hamburgers
Saturday evening after dinner fly tying and fish tails

Sunday morning fishing and/or hiking around the lakes
Sunday high noon lunch will be cleaning up leftovers
Cabin cleanup with check out by 12:00 noon
Remainder of day fishing on your own.

Your RSVP is requested if you intend to make an appearance for any/ all meals and/ or to reserve a bunk in the lodge.
