Jubilee Lake - is about 60 miles northeast of Pendleton (1-1/2 hour travel time). Gathering time at Jubilee Lake is proposed to be 9:00 am contact Bob if you wish to randevous in Pendleton. This will be a day outing without a host - BYOEverything. Take Hwy.11 north from Pendleton to Hwy. 204 at Weston. Follow Hwy. 204 to Tollgate and go pass the Tollgate Store. Go a little farther you will see Langdon Lake (private resort) on the right, begin looking for USFS Road 64 on the left, and take a left onto USFS Road 64. Watch for the USFS road signs to lead you to Jubilee Lake. Stay on the well traveled USFS Road 64 to Jubilee Lake campground entrance and go approximately 9/10 mile beyond the campground entrance to the rear entrance gate (look for a 3x3 NO Trash can sign). NOTE: There are lots of intersections off USFS Road 64 that lead to Palmer Junction, Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness Area, and Troy, watch road signs carefully.

NOTE FROM BOB:

"The back trail entrance is about .9 miles past the campground entrance on road 64. It will be the first road to the right and you will see a large no trash can sign as you turn in. There is not a lot of room for trailers so I recommend day tripping it. The trail to the lake starts on the road through a locked gate. About 200 feet down the road a trail takes off to the right. Follow that trail for about 5 minutes and you will be at the lake. Very nice coves and shoreline across the lake from all the people. Should be an easy pack for float tubes. Larger pontoon boats may have to put in at the boat ramp. The water is warming up quickly and I have a feeling we can catch a lot of fish up there". If you are going to launch a non-motorized boat it will be best to launch at the boat launch/ landing next to the campground.

There are excellent camping facilities at Jubilee Lake and we would suggest that you try to be there early Friday to get a prime campsite.

The Saturday of July 24 will be the USFS and ODFW Kids Fishing Derby day outing. This lake is highly recommended for youngsters' fishing.

If you camp over at Jubilee Lake for your evening fishing you might want to try fishing emergers in the late afternoon as the sun come off the water.
